Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a member of the of the Finance Data Factory, you’ll be responsible for supporting the e-commerce Data team as they evaluate large amounts of data.  You’ll operate as a trusted advisor as it relates to efficiencies and best practices.

As a member of the Walmart Finance Data Factory, you will be an integral part of improving the overall data strategy and processing through technology.  As we look at the growing needs of data, processing and analytics, you will help impact the data strategy by helping the team manage at the program level.   The ideal candidate for this role is an outcome-based problem solver, a strategic thinker who has an analytical mindset and is results-oriented with an intersection of strong Product Management and Finance/Accounting skills.

Our team gathers information about customer needs and applies our technological expertise and strategic thinking to create a product roadmap. The product journey is designed to leverage technological excellence to drive customer satisfaction. Walmart's philosophy of Everyday Low Prices is not an easy one to achieve. What You’ll Do:

  • Seeks out and reviews demand, establishing stakeholder mapping, the customer journey and customer touchpoints.

  • Composes the opportunity canvas, tying together the problem, business case and solution.

  • Defines the product vision and validates the solution with key stakeholders.

  • Establishes a release plan for the product, delivering incremental value for the business case.

  • Leverages users’ science tools to identify relevant KPI to drive the product in the right direction and measure results.

  • Establishes a cost profile for the product and documents return on investment or impact for given features or prioritization decisions.

What you’ll Bring...

  • At least 8 years of Product Management experience

  • Experience with Cloud Technologies such as GCP and ability to write SQL queries.

  • Retail or Finance/Accounting domain experience will a be great.

  • Equipped with Agile methodology.

  • You will have a product mindset and ability for innovation.

  • You like digging into large data, doing some analysis, and able make decisions based off that analysis. 

  • You’re excited about solving complex challenges.   

  • You’re associate-centric in spirit and in execution.  

  • You’re comfortable influencing others, working on 4 in the box teams, working directly with stakeholders, getting buy-in from leadership, and communicating clearly.  

  • You have a test and learn mentality and an agile way of working to improve your team’s products.  

  • You are customer obsessed, expressing empathy to guide discovery beyond the initial request and uncover the true business need.

  • You’re an excellent communicator, breaking down complex concepts to make them easy to understand.

  • You're a generous collaborator, you enjoy building expertise, insights, and solutions to collaborative teams and can thrive with cross-functional and matrixed teams.
